There's no shipping on items earned with stars.
DD just joined the club & is busy earning stars. When she has enough to "buy" something, will she need to make sure she has enough $ to pay for shipping on the item? Kinda' kills the idea of "free" stuff if you have to pay shipping, but I can't imagine them sending it for free either. I was looking around & just found the "Mom" section of the club. Just got dd 40 more stars. WooHoo!

The club is great!
DD gets stars, you can get her some more stars. There's no shipping charges, and they also have great specials every so often.
We love it!

YAY!!! Thanks sooo much for the info. Just wait til' I tell dd. They are her stars, so it would have been her allowance paying for shipping. She's gonna'

Bren~ You will have to approve her star purchase if it is something that is to be mailed (i.e. not treasures or additional favorites pages). After she "buys" her item, you just log in to your side and approve her purchase. It then appears on your account just like a regular AG order, except the price and shipping are zero.
Thanks Melissa! That explains the "product request" area in the mom section. I think I am going to have as much fun with the club as she is. I have 40 stars to distribute & she does not know it yet. What shall I have her do to earn them? Play nicely with her brother ALL day?! Yep, I think I'm reaally liking this club thing.

I have two ideas that you can reward your DD with Stars for doing: being nice to her brother all day, or cleaning up her room without being asked too. Your DD would be so surprised if you gave her Stars without her knowing you were going to do it.
Bren~ My daughter and I both just love the club! She loves the games especially. We often play the trivia challenge together, which is fun. (We are both totally addicted to Jess' waterfall game, but you don't have to be in the club to play that one.) She has earned lots of great stuff with her stars, and the projects have given us ideas on fun things to do together.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">They don't really have a list of dollar to star amounts, but I do know the Birthday charm is $6 & if you earn it with stars, it's 200 stars. The stars are earned through performing various activities. Reading a Meet Samantha book =10 stars, baking spring cupcakes is 10 stars...the activities seem to rotate & change & I'm sure the reading list would as well. Most activities are worth 10 stars, but some are worth 20 & a couple are worth 50. The items you get with your stars are earned & you do not pay for them, & apparently you don't pay shipping either. You can only purchase club exclusives with your stars...not any AG item you want.Originally posted by Kit 1934:
Really?
Do you get the thing you want for *FREE*, or do you just get a *DISCOUNT*?
And also, how many stars are equal to a dollar?

The club costs $20 to join, but they then give you a $10 credit towards your next purchase. You also receive a club bracelet. You receive 20 stars for joining & I as the mom received 20 stars as well. DD earned 20 stars today and has a total of 40 (plus my 20 & I earned 20 as well = 40) so you can see they add up pretty quickly, with just 80 in a day's time.
If you go the the AG site & click on Club it will let you have a glimpse at what it's all about. They have games, online quizzes, and an area where you can meet & e-mail other girl's.
I think I got that all right. Anybody out there feel free to correct me...I am just learning the ropes myself.
HTH,
Bren

You get the shipping AND the item for free. I have been in the club for about a year and 2 months. It's very fun!
